Thanks to @ohpebbles for answering my question to Chapper’s last week. This season’s point spread was 67, with Chelsea on top at 86 and Pompey at the bottom on 19 points. Preben went back to the 1888/89 season and found the season with the widest point spread: 76. In fact, it was a tie between two seasons: 2005/06 Chelsea 91, Sunderland 15; and 2007/08 Manchester United 87, Derby 11. Excellent stuff and thanks to all.
