Excellent hour and a half with one of the Grand Old(?) Men of the MacVerse from a new to me podcast called Mac Power User.
I really like the lesson taken from the description of UNIX: Small pieces loosely joined. Pare down your tool kit with the simplest, most effective tools that can be easily joined together to accomplish good work. To put it another way, build up your own set of “UNIX commands” which give you the flexibility to deal with any problem. You will find that the more you use these tools, the better (and faster) you will get at applying them, and getting meaningful things done.
Take a look at some of the other shows from Mac Power Users.
