Who do I have to lobby to get more content for my Kindle?

I assume Amazon is in deep negotiations with publishers to get more content on the Kindle. As an engaged consumer, with the power of the internet behind me, why should I leave it solely up to Jeff Bezos and Crew?

I want to know what I can do as a consumer to help sway publishers to release more content in digital form.

I think this is a chance for Amazon to leverage its massive customer base. Amazon should have a friendly support page with a series of actions regular customers can do from home to convince more publishers to release more digital content. Petitions, email and snail mail addresses for publishing houses, and whatever else it takes to communicate the needs of the market. The time for consumer activism is NOW! (erm, or two years ago)
